Mt. AiryI HATE politics. I trust my elected officials with the duties that they have sworn to uphold and I leave it at that. Unfortunately, when elected officials do not meet the standards that you expect, something has to change. I'm grateful to Kai for being willing to run for Commissioner and I am happy to support him. Personally, I'm very concerned about land issues. We are collectively removing any vestiges of the Frederick County we used to know. I worry about that. We are called to be stewards of the land; not to take, plunder and rape it. We are called to live in harmony with our environment, to protect it for future generations. I believe we must ensure that adequate facilities, including roads, schools and fire protection are in place for the housing that we have before we continue building houses on the remaining square footage of our county. I believe Kai will fight for a responsible balance between the environment and human land consumption. I'll vote for Kai.

I've known Kai Hagen for 8 years. One of the things I like about Kai is that he's always looking for the win/win situation. Kai has been my daughter’s soccer coach since she was 5. She's now 13. Kai’s goals as a coach have always been to teach the kids the game, improve their skills, build their confidence, make sure everyone has fun, and to win.
