ThurmontI'm voting for Kai Hagen for Frederick County Commissioner because I absolutely believe he is the best candidate for the job! I've know Kai for a number of years and in that time, I've come to see that he shares my values when it comes to quality of life issues, such as balancing the preservation of open space and farmland with responsible development. He truly understands that the value of our landscape can not be measured only by the money that can be made by developing it. Kai understands that maintaining a healthy environment, including parks and recreational areas, is an essential part of maintaining healthy, vibrant communities. I believe that he will do his absolute best to insure that the quality of life we now enjoy in the county is preserved for future generations, which is the highest responsibility of any county commissioner.

As Kai Hagen showed us around his own little piece of Frederick County it was clear how important the environment is to him. He pointed out where the trilliums pop up in the spring and we watched a beaver who didn’t know he was being watched. We’re lucky to have someone like Kai running for County Commissioner.
