Adam Schultz hired as campaign manager

I am very pleased to announce the hiring of Adam Schultz as the full-time campaign manager of my campaign for the Frederick County Board of County Commissioners!

It is not an exaggeration to say that the future of Frederick County is at stake in this election.

We do not have to trade what we love about this place for something inadequate, ordinary and uninspired. We can do better. We can do much better.

And so, it is essential that this campaign leave no stone unturned, that we do everything possible to get the message out to the voters of Frederick County.

I'm very grateful for the early and enthusiastic support of many people, especially the folks who have volunteered their time and energy and talent in so many ways. They are the foundation of this campaign.

Hiring Adam Schultz to manage the campaign ensures that we will build well on that foundation.

Adam Schultz is a lifelong resident of Frederick County and a graduate of Catoctin High School in Thurmont. After receiving his BA in Political Science from Tufts University, Adam worked for a U.S. congressional race in Arizona before returning home to Thurmont in 2005. For the last 10 months, he served as the campaign manager for Andrew Duck's congressional campaign in Maryland's 6th District. After orchestrating a series of impressive accomplishments for the Duck campaign, Adam has moved on, and we're glad to have him join the team.

Adam is ready to hit the ground running. He offered the following comments, "I'm proud of my role in building the Duck campaign over the last 10 months. And now I'm looking forward to focusing on Frederick County, on the issues that shape our community and affect our daily lives -- issues involving growth, education, the local economy and our environment. I'm excited to join Kai Hagen's campaign for county commissioner. Frederick County citizens are ready for a change, and with Kai's leadership, that's exactly what we're going to deliver."

I've spent a lot of time with Adam over the last few days. I know he's really going to help take this campaign to the next level.
