Thurmont's Annual Volunteer Fire Company Parade
Location: Main St., downtown Thurmont
WHAT: Join Kai in the Thurmont Parade! Kai will have a vehicle in the parade sporting our new magnetic signs on each side. We'll also need two volunteers to walk in front of the vehicle holding our 8'x2' banner for all to see. We'll also need volunteers to help throw out candy and pass out stickers and literature during the parade with Kai. If you haven't helped out a parade yet, now's your chance! These are a great time and a great chance to get Kai's name out to an entire town in one evening.
WHEN: We'll begin lining up at 5:30pm. The parage kicks-off at 6:30pm and is expected to run until about 7:30pm.
DIRECTIONS: From Frederick, take Rt. 15 North to Thurmont. Take the exit for Rt. 77. Turn LEFT onto Rt. 77/Main St. and head east into downtown Thurmont. Continue on Main St. through the traffic light and go past Thurmont Middle School. Just after passing the Middle School, look for Blue Ridge Avenue on your right (the 2nd street beyond the Middle School). The parade participants line-up on Blue Ridge Avenue. Park along the streets where ever you're allowed and walk up Blue Ridge Avenue -- you'll find Kai there!
