Voters who want controlled growth have a real choice

It is so easy with our busy lives to disregard things like local elections. However, if you spend a little time and really look around Frederick County and you're not happy with the way this county has been growing, then you need to spend just a little more time and get out to the polls on Nov. 7.
If you've driven to Leesburg sometime in the last year or through Montgomery County and don't want to see Frederick follow in those footsteps, then take a few more minutes to read about those running for county commissioner. If you want sensible growth decisions instead of McMansion sprawl, you need to vote -- and not just down a party line.
There are many important issues this year, but most of them come down to growth and its affects on things like quality of life, schools, farmland and infrastructure. If you want commissioners who pay attention to what you want, vote for Gardner, Floyd, Gray, Thompson, and Hagen. They see beyond the dollar signs.
They see you and your families and they listen.

I've known Kai Hagen for 8 years. One of the things I like about Kai is that he's always looking for the win/win situation. Kai has been my daughter’s soccer coach since she was 5. She's now 13.
